Customer focus delivers results
Flick Electric won the Consumer NZ Energy Retailer of the Year Award at the 2021 Energy Excellence Awards. Consumer NZ’s annual satisfaction survey marked Flick as significantly above the industry average in many key areas and described its off-peak plan, innovative online tools and tree planting incentive as impressive.
Flick is the first within the sector to have implemented an off-peak pricing plan structure allowing customers to take control of their power by moving more usage to off-peak times – not only increasing energy savings but also reducing peak load on the national grid.
Flick’s innovative customer-focused online-app Choice helps users track energy prices and usage in a simplistic, transparent way. Its account management tools provide easy access to self-manage flexible payment options, view billing history and update information in real-time. The live emissions update is a great add-on within the app, allowing customers to monitor their carbon footprint.
In October 2020, Flick joined forces with the Trees That Count to plant one native tree on behalf of every new Flick customer. Being part of an industry that generates carbon emissions, Flick felt it had a responsibility to act as a kaitiaki and do its best for the environment. Over the past two seasons, Flick has planted 3553 trees and continue supporting the lowering of emissions.
These initiatives stood out across the sector and proved Flick a worthy winner in this category.
