PowerNet is leading Southland's decarbonisation journey with its "Partners in Decarbonisation" programme. Collaborating with Transpower and EECA, PowerNet has helped major industries transition to renewable electricity, significantly reducing carbon emissions in the region, with innovative solutions and enabling of large electrode boiler connections on the electricity distribution network, cutting CO2 emissions by thousands of tonnes. Through PowerNet’s active involvement in this space and providing quality service to its customers, PowerNet are making Southland one of New Zealand's most decarbonised regions and setting a benchmark for nationwide sustainability.
