Ecotricity, New Zealand's first Toitū climate positive certified electricity provider, was the country’s fastest growing retailer in the two years to March. Its 2023 volumes were three-times those in 2021 and helped deliver the firm’s first profit since it formed in 2013. Its customer base has 30-times the national solar penetration and the company offers a range of innovative pricing plans to encourage uptake of solar panels and batteries, as well as providing price certainty to enable grid-scale solar and wind development.
