Through its long-term partnership, Contact Energy has been supporting Women’s Refuge to do their best work helping women and children escaping family violence. By providing free energy and broadband to the organisation’s 70 safe houses, Contact has freed up funds the refuges can use elsewhere, including helping women get their drivers’ licences and keeping children involved in school programmes and sports. Contact has used its customer network to bolster fundraising efforts and has directly funded critical research to help foster long-term change.
