The New Zealand Energy Excellence Awards categories are chosen to reflect today’s business priorities and offer entry opportunities for organisations and individuals. We encourage prospective entrants to consider projects, products, policies and people. Here are some tips to make your entry shine:

• Entries should be well written, accurate and to the point. A winning entry is a good story, well told
• Allow time to prepare your entry, have it reviewed and signed off
• Don't overlook business as usual, it might be best-in-class
• Think strategically, entries can often fall into more than one category
• Play to your strengths
• Include endorsements and back up claims with data. Judges won't be chasing you for more information
• Don't waste time on producing custom designed entries. It's the answers that are important
• Answer all the questions on the entry form fully
