Energy Retailer of the Year
New Zealand Energy Excellence Awards 2024
Ecotricity, New Zealand's first Toitū climate positive certified electricity provider, was the country's fastest growing retailer in the two years to March. Its 2023 volumes were three-times those in 2021 and helped deliver the firm's first profit since it formed in 2013. Its customer base has 30-times the national solar penetration and the company offers a range of innovative pricing plans to encourage uptake of solar panels and batteries, as well as providing price certainty to enable grid-scale solar and wind development.
