ConductorDown is an innovative new protection technology used to reliably detect high voltage downed-conductor open-circuit faults in real-time, allowing the hazard to be quickly identified and isolated before serious harm or fatalities occur.
This technology has recently been added to Westpower's equally innovative PowerPilot IoT based Low Voltage Management System as a vital public safety feature and works by monitoring low-voltage phasor behaviour to detect anomalies in the high-voltage network.
ConductorDown provides effective protection against members of the public coming into contact with live high voltage conductors following a downed conductor open circuit fault where the load side conductor remains in contact with the ground.
