Ecobulb Limited developed the world first screw-in retrofit Ecobulb LED downlight for screwing into inefficient recessed ceiling downlights. Replacing the 10.4 million inefficient downlights in New Zealand homes with this Ecobulb downlight would save $360 Million electricity per year, reduce the electricity network peak load by 330MW and be equivalent to taking 215,000 cars off the road. This would deliver $100million revenue for Ecobulb Limited. It has already delivered $0.5million revenue through two disruptive electricity utility projects where 73% of South Canterbury and King Country homes picked up free Ecobulb LEDs.
