Unison Networks

Unison Networks is changing traditional asset management through the first 'Predictive Asset Rating' system in New Zealand for electricity distribution businesses. Rather than depend on the static manufacturer rating applied to assets, Unison uses real-time data from its smart network and innovative algorithms to incorporate environmental variations and calculate an asset's true 'rating' - the upper current limit an asset can be subjected to. Unison anticipates that Predictive Asset Rating can increase asset utilisation by around 30 percent and defer capital expenditure by 15 years. Ultimately, this keeps costs down for customers' longer term while enhancing quality of supply.
