The Lines Company is a community-owned rural electricity distributor transforming how the King Country, Central Plateau and Ruapehu experience their network. In the past 18 months, TLC has lifted safety, reliability, affordability and resilience through practical innovation-helisaw vegetation clearance, flexible capacity to enable fast EV charging while deferring a $10m upgrade, and targeted solar and hardship support. Strong partnerships, disciplined stewardship and a people-first culture are delivering measurable improvements in customer trust, communication and satisfaction-proving smaller distributors can lead where it matters most.
