PowerNet

Some years define progress, others define character. For PowerNet, the past year delivered both. When the October 2025 windstorm swept across the South, it became more than a test of infrastructure. It revealed the strength of their people, the trust of their communities, and the resilience of a network shaped by one of Aotearoa New Zealand's most demanding environments. With more than 50,000 customers without power at peak impact, the storm tested every dimension of the organisation. It also reaffirmed the depth of connection between PowerNet and its communities, whose patience, support, and trust remained unwavering throughout.
